Give Yourself Permission ... To Work Smart

Posted in General & business & social Networking & productivity & personal growth & Network & thinking and ideas | 19:39

I have to be honest the past few months have been quite a roller coaster ride for me. The strides I made in the early part of 2008 towards working smart, had slowly slipped through my fingers.

No, no, no lol, its not that I became less smarter, definitely not! Don't get me wrong! I am talking about "Working Smart". My time, money and energy were not utilized in the right way. My priorities were a big fuzzy and well we know that things to do list was not being referred to as much as I should have been doing.

As a part of getting on track and sticking there, one of the key things I decided to do was to give myself permission..... I gave myself permission to take time to learn how to do my job faster. It's something that in 2008 I missed. I was always focused on just getting the job done and making the deadlines. This year I have been spending more time to "work smart".

Let me give you an example.

I created filters for my gmail 2 of them being a documents filter and images filters. Now, anytime someone sends an image or document to me it gets highlighted. Most of the images I get are actually posters and the documents are proposals. These filters make it a no brainer to find documents or posters in no time amidst the tonnes of emails the flow into my inboxes on a daily basis. It has made my life soo much easier. Let share them with you, after all sharing is caring. And I do care!

For GMAIL
(Matches: (.jpg OR .png OR .gif OR .bmp OR .jpeg) has:attachment
Do this: Apply label "Pic")
Matches: (.doc OR .pps OR .xls OR .pdf OR .docx OR .ppsx OR .xlsx) has:attachment
Do this: Apply label "Docs")

Some of the other things I did were -
- Get my facebook under control
- Organize my workspace making sure I have all my tools to get the job done
- Organise my blackberry alerts using - AlertMatrix

Basically I allowed myself to also question my workflows to see if they were effective. In some cases they needed to be changed. I found a change in my perspective of some tasks made my load much lighter. E.g, writing and presenting I not treat as one in the same. They are both communication, different forms of communication but none the less they are communication. I think the key though to working smart especially in this recession time is to build a network of persons and develop healthy give and take relationships. Solve your problems together.

Are you capable of giving yourself the permission to work smart? Are you ready for the next level?

How To Lime On A Fridays .... According To CG 2.0N

Posted in Corey Graham 2.0 & Caribbean & business & productivity & personal growth & thinking and ideas | 02:21

Its Friday, time for a good lime time to relax, grab a beer and chill out with some good friends. Talk about the week's joys and sorrows, and of course talksome foolishness.
I am sure that at the time of posting some of you are reaching for another beer, or calling for another round. Others might have already reached their limit and tapping out, no more alcohol. Yet others might not have touched a drop of alcohol, but enjoying laughing and the energy of the time.
If you ever limed with me you that I have a tendency to get a little loud and share in the spirit of the moment with everyone else. I won't tell you about that time I .... Anyways back to the blog post.

Most of you will read this post after you have had their usual friday "after work lime", when all the boose has passed out of your system and thinking clearly again and looking forward to a new week which will of course have another Friday.

Now, for next week I want for you to focus on only talking about the things you are committed to, and do not present those random thoughts and ideas to people like if they are set in stone. Basically just trying to  impress.
"Come On don't go into denial, it's just you and me here. You know you do that! Mention little things while you are accepting another beer, paid for in full by your listener. Ah lol. So you doooo know what I am talking about now?"

Alrite good we are on the same page, now here is what I would like you to try to do next week. Put away the conversational goals and deals. Yes, those ones that pretty much the only thing about them is that they sound good. You have in no way committed to them. Try to stick to sharing them as ideas. Actually be honest! Start your statement with "I had an idea..."  Of course its fine to share those things you have actually committed to. Its this fakeness, I am talking about.

The short version is, make sure you are a person of your word.

I am not saying to not to discuss your ideas. I am 100 % behind sharing of ideas however, I am also a fan of being a person of your word. It is something I have become very aware of over the last year especially noticing how my influence has grown since I started to take blogging seriously. I found out ...

If you want to grow your audience and your influence, keeping your word is key. Give people the opportunity to believe and find comfort in your words. This earns you their attention and respect in a significant way. In a very silent way, but in a significant way, One day you might wake up and find your words reach far beyond your imagination. Corey Graham 2.0N

Do the things you say you are going to do. REMEMBER , if you know there is a good chance that you might not do it, don't communicate it with any definate details. Give yourself the opportunity to keep your word! Keep social, keep liming its important. Enjoy next Friday night.

Oh btw you owe me a beer!

REVIEW of the Book - The One Minute Entrepreneur

Posted in General & business & productivity & review & personal growth | 01:17

The One Minute Entrepreneur By Ken Blanchard, Don Hutson and Ethan Willis

The One Minute Entrepreneur was an interesting read. It was different from most of the business books I have read as it was told in a story form. It was about Jud's life and his Journey to become and successful entrepeneur. I found this format to be refreshing as it had a slight element of suspense as to what would happen to Jud next. The bigger purpose where the "One Minute Insights" he learned as he journeyed through life. This allowed the book to take a wholistic approach to the idea of being an entrepreneur.
However, if I had to make a comparation to One Minute Manager I would say that One Minute Manager was a more ground breaking book for me personally because of how it was presented. The One Minute Entrepreneur also had its moments are are some of the insights that stood out for me.

Some of the key insights were
  • Associate with people you admire and can learn from.
  • You'll be the same year after year except for the people you meet and the books you read.
  • When you feel moments impacting your destiny, seize the opportunity.
  • On the entrepeneurial path, few people come int your life without a reason.
  • To build a great marriage, especially if you're an entrepreneur, make sure you commit to spending time together outside of meals and sleeping
  • Never let your expenses outstrip your revenue.
  • Don't be a banker for ur customers. Timely collection of invoices is crucial
  • As an entrepreneur, the secret to success is generating CASH, CASH, CASH.
  • Profit is the applause you get for taking care of your customers and creating a motivating environment for your people.
  • Working people today want a partnership relationship, not a top-down hierarchy.
  • Giving can be much more rewarding than receiving.

Overall it was a very refreshing read and also short and sweet. There were some very valueable lessons. One point that also did hit home to me which was not highlighed was hat many persons are married singles because they truly don't get involved with each others passions etc. They simply share a bed and share a table a meal time!

I would recommend that you give it a read!

If you want to purchase the book you can do it here on my Amazon Affliates Store - I actually get a percentage of your purchase, which I can assure you will go along way in me improving my blogging.

Career 2.0 - Getting Started

Posted in General & Corey Graham 2.0 & business & productivity & personal growth & thinking and ideas | 15:52

The Challenge With Career 1.0

My idea of building a career is a little bit different. Honestly let me stop trying to be cool...It is a lot different from what I have learnt as I grew up in this world. My society and surroundings taught me to get into a particular discipline and keep my focus there. Build my career from that. Its not that i completely disagree with this approach, however I have found it to be incomplete in the context of my life. I couldn't quite decide where I should focus my energy. I have spent a lot of time with persons between the ages of 18 - 24 over the last 2 years and I realised that, similarly to me this way of thinking actually causes them more pain than good. They analyse themselves and their talents and think in many cases they realise that they are passionate about several different disciplines.

This can range from drama to music to marketing to business to engineering, and the list goes on and on. They become disillusioned by too much choice. They have too many paths that their life can take.

2.0 On Career 2.0

I would like to put forward a new perspective. Instead of making your mind about which career path you should take. Take some time and make a big mission or dream you would like to accomplish. Something the lends to your different passions. Once you have completely appointed yourself to fulfil this mission then you can build your career. Make yourself the General!

Now General 2.0 you can relax a little bit, because you know you are going after something you want. As the world is now evolving in to what some term as the new industrial revolution, you can now creatively blend your different talents and passions into a "pepperpot" that defines you and fulls your hunger to accomplish your mission/dreams. Web 2.0 is creating several new possibilities available to everyone.

Creative and talented people, especially in the Caribbean have so much to offer the world. Spread your wings and fly.

Building the Perfect Plan for the Imperfect World

Posted in General & Caribbean & business & productivity & management & thinking and ideas | 14:45

Don't build a perfect plan for an imperfect world. Corey Graham 2.0
I believe I got your attention now..... PERFECT soo question, what is Corey Graham 2.0 fussing about now?
What is this 'perfect' thing about?
Personally I think the word 'perfect' is heavily misused when talking about plans..... Let me explain,

We can quickly let our plans move beyond the realm of realism. We build the 'perfect' plan based on a reality that is not our own. It might be John Doe's reality, the reality in another country or even just a Dream of another reality, but its definately not your reality.
You develop a great idea, perfect distribution, perfect manufacturing, perfect marketing but your product never does take off. Take some time to come to grips with the realism.
You want to create a new system within the organization, you do all the things. You communicate clearly answer all questions. Delegate clearly etc. And your idea doesn't catch on. People don't get involved.
Look at the imperfection in the people and the situation that might speak volumes to where you went wrong.

You go to a group meeting and everyone sits at the table and talks and talks. You come up with a nice perfect plan, but the SIMPLE imperfections in day to day living quickly derail the perfect plan you created

I saw a thought once,

'An fool can live through a crisis, its the day to day living that kills them.' Winston Churchhill

We need to remember how imperfect this world can be and a lack of appreciation for its imperfections can derail even the the most complex plans.

Prison Break Season 1 was a very good example of this. Micheal had the perfect plan, but he met many imperfections in the criminal world. His plans were not built on the reality of the criminal world because he did not understand it and he found himself with his back against the wall, even loosing his big toe in the process.

Now before we all lose any toes when we sit down to do some planning, expect some areas will be dictated by imperfections. They will get a little messy or even a little gray, but its up to you and your plan to make sense of it all, and keep your focus on the right things.

One of the world's most successful CEO's Jack Welch said something to the effect of

See reality as it is not as it was or as it will be or as you think it should be....See reality as it is. And make decisions based on reality.

Keep the perfect plans for the perfect world.

P.S. check out some of my first ever posts which happened to be also on REALISM. These posts really generated alot more comment via my email inbox that I ever expected.

You Need To Become a Storyteller

Posted in Caribbean & business & productivity & management | 11:40

Well maybe you don't need to become a full blown story teller but you do need to at least able to tell the stories about your stuff, about your a career, goals and projects past and present.

Who do people know you as?
What are they most likey to say about you when asked who are you?

Every since I became Corey Graham 2.0 I began to appreciate the importance of storytelling on my professional lifes. It is especially invalueable to building your personal brandwhich extends into this mysterious realm of networking. When there a story for people to tell. You can be pretty sure of the impressions that persons are getting from others about you.

So you should find a compelling way to tell your story ... Why leave it  for people to tell it? To decipher what you are about? What is important to you? Why give people a chance to mis-interpretate you?

Yes, yes, I know, if someone wants to give you a bad rep, they will! You should have a disaster plan for that. However, you don't want, the persons wanting to give a pleasant and accurate description of who you are, to have to guess about you. You don't want them highlighting the services you are trying to phase out and downplaying the things that you want highlighted.

So tell your own story or someone will tell it for you.

What's my story?

To you it is Corey Graham 2.0 a Caribbean Thinker and Blogger. Who writes mostly on entertainment, marketing, leadership, business, web 2.0 technologies and blackberry

Too Busy To Help Your Career Explode?

Posted in General & Corey Graham 2.0 & productivity & management & personal growth | 08:23

Recently I had to take 2 weeks off from work and it giving me the time to think alot more and look into  things i haven't done in a while. I realised that sometimes we get so caught up with the day to day deadlines, we forget to spend some time -
  • learning something new about an area you are interested in
  • investing the time to network of persons who share similar passions to those that you have. (One conversation across a table with a wise man is worth a month's study of books. Chinese Proverb)

Its amazing how in the heat of the moment these 2 tasks seem the rank at lowest priority although they can be so powerful. We should budget out time to allow for these 2 things to happen on a daily basis. Its important to keep the fire burning and extremely important if you want to take what you are doing to the next level.

Read, Network and Act to take yourself to the next level of thinking. If you are thinking like a novice today, try to think like a beginner, then like an intermediate player, then to advanced and the like an expert.
Don't too bogged down and stuck thinking like an intermediate player the rest of your life.

My LLU - Team Building Course - Do you want this?

Posted in General & Corey Graham 2.0 & business & social Networking & productivity & management | 16:02

I have been taking a course recently which, I feel compelled to share with you. Now, for those of you who might not know, I am a full time student of LLU - Life Lessons University. LLU doesn't have semesters and its degree program spands a lifetime. I will tell you more about LLU in another post but you can't imagine how great an experience the university is!  Maybe someday you will have to call me Professor Corey Graham 2.0 lol! And LLU will have the Corey K Graham Centre for Caribbean Creativity at LLU. A guy can dream right lol!!

My LLU Team Building Course
My first class for this life lesson started after one basketball practice game.....
(I should mention here that basketball team and sports club its a part of is just getting back on its feet. They had once been a very vibrant club however things had slowed down for a while now.)

In frustration the coach admitted to the players.
I'm tired, I am really tired of this. We are going on to the court and focusing on too many other things which have nothing to do with basketball.
We are wondering if its fair that one person getting more play, wondering who has something personal with another player, who is up to date with subs etc.
He was tired of trying to manage all of that other stuff that had nothing to do with basketball. He said he wanted us to get back to the basketball. He accepted the responsibility for the focus drifting from basketball and said from today he was going to get back to coaching basketball and not getting side tracked. He came to coach basketball.

Coach said we all needed do the same. All we needed to do was to answer one simple question -
Do you want to play basketball?
DO YOU WANT TO PLAY BASKETBALL?

If you answer : YES, I want to play basketball.
Come and play basketball and be determined to play basketball, don't let anything side track you from doing what you came to do....To play basketball.
If your goal is to play basketball. Then aim to accomplish your goal. Stop getting side-tracked!

If the answer is NO.
You don't come into the team, you can stay on the sideline and watch.
It sounds sooooo simple right?
Can you do that same thing for all the projects you are working on now? Those with work mates, partners or colleagues?
What about your job or hobbies? Are you letting frustrations distract you from the thing you came to do?
Many times we don't ask ourselves and others we are working with that basic question.
Do you want do this?
Do we all understand the BASIC aim of the project?
Wait did anyone even take the 2 mins to write down basic aim of this project?
If I ask the simple question what is the purpose of this project? Will everyone on your team give the same answer?

In the movie 'The Last Samurai" clearly illustrated this in the scene where Tom cruise challenges the best fighter in the village. It was the simple words
'Too many mind - one mind'
That simple change in Tom Cruise's action plan made all the difference to Tom Cruise's battle against this great samurai warrior.

Alrite get it out of your head! You are not a samurai warrior! I am just making the same point to you. And yes I am importing some Chinese wisdom cheaply to make my blog better!

Seriously though ..Whether it is yourself or a team, it comes down to this basic step. Answering the question
Do you want to ________?

This is key for a team. Key key key. I can't say it enough. This is where it starts. Each member making a DECISION. Not just going with the flow, but taking the time to make that decision.  To make a decision to do this, to be a part of the team. To accept the shared responsibility of the team.
That's where it begins and that's where the backbone of the team lies. That's what will keep it together in tough times.

After this happens then the team can then start to take shape and evolve into a real unit. Team dynamics and all the jazz fall in place and the team can "gel". When that happens the team can deal with the tough situations. Players will step up and become known as champions

One famous person said, 'Champions are not made in the ring they are merely recognized there'

Another said,

T- Together
E - Each
A - Achieves
M - More

 Build up your team today!

CG 2.0 Previews AlertMatrix from Rex Wireless (Blackberry Software)

Posted in General & Corey Graham 2.0 & business & Mobile Technology & Blackberry & productivity | 14:30

About 2 months ago I realized that I often use my blackberry as a  filter for emails. In busy periods I only have time to scan my emails, get an idea of what is in my inbox, and make plans to take care of them later. Of course if its an urgent email I would respond right there and then. However, when you have emails from my 4 different email accounts coming at you, there is no way I can respond to them all during a busy time. That's why I have the berry set up to make a very low tone when a new email comes in from hotmail (90 % of that mail is just fwds) so its easier to ignore those new hotmail messages. I use my other accounts for business so they are set to give a louder tone when a new email comes in.
I am thankful for the blackberry filter, that allows me to set certain emails to high priority. When these emails come in, my phone vibrates and makes a loud tone, so I know straight off that there is an email I really need to check or at least be aware of.
I always thought it would be nice to set different alerts for other types of emails. e.g. emails about special projects, emails from family & friends and emails from some mailing list.

Now enter Rex Wireless with yet another software solution to solve another one of my problems. Let me stop for a moment to tell you about Rex Wireless and me.

RexWireless and Me
They have already solved my task list issue with their flagship product ToDoMatrix. I love it. I will blog about it in a future post but here is an old post about it (click here to view an an old post ). Then they recently killed 2 birds with one stone for me with IdeaMatrix. IdeaMatrix in a notes systems that helps me a lot to keep better track of my crazy ideas. It also doubles as my content management system for this Blog. I set notes in the Blog categories and then label my notes according to the stage they are at i.e. Ideas & points, 1st draft, 2nd draft and completed posts.
The best part of these 2 products is that they auto sync over air with RexDesktop which is accessible from any web browser. This makes it very, very convenient.
Let me explain, I can be writing a post in RexDesktop and once I save it, it auto syncs with the blackberry (within 2 mins). This means that I can move away from the pc and continue writing, or go off to a meeting and have all the notes on the blackberry. For blogging this helps alot because I like to write away from the pc i.e not behind a desk.
Rex Wireless puts alot of thought into their applications to make sure that they are actually making your life easier. On their site you will find alot on their thinking behind each of their products.

The Preview - Rex Wireless to Launch AlertMatrix
And now they are about to launch AlertMartix on May 28. Some time last week I was asked to test and review it ahead of the launch so that is what this post is about. Alrite, so lets get  into it.
AlertMartix allows you to set special alerts to those emails, texts, pins or calls you really want to pay attention to.
Its the same basic concept with personalized ringtones for the different people who call you. Lol, that helps a lot in deciding which calls you can and can't miss without touching the phone.
AlertMatrix is similar but wayyy more advanced.  Alert matrix is really a filter and alerts system that is designed to allow you to get better control those things that get your attention.

You might be waiting on an email with art work from the graphics designer or it could be a sponsor logo.  Maybe you are waiting on a call or email with feedback on a proposal you just submitted. AlertMatrix to give you a special notification for when that particular email, text message, pin, call come in.

I found I was able to setup these rules pretty quickly. There were a few things I was not sure about but after a quick read of the help on the mobile site I was off and running. I find that AlertMatrix is very flexible. You can set alerts to -

  • Make the led light blink a certain colour
  • Make the phone vibrates
  • Set the tone on the alert

Then you can decide if you want it to alert you -

  • immediately
  • only during working hours
  • only at night time.

And if that is not enough, you can actually set these alerts to disappear if you haven't dealt with them by a certain time or leave them to keep reminding you forever until you deal with them. You can also snooze alerts so that you get a reminder about them a little later.

All this is great stuff, but I really got excited when I realized that within AlertMartix and see these important emails, texts, pins and calls all in one place.
Yeah, imagine that. You basically have a "VIP inbox".
Can you imagine that? To have a VIP inbox, imagine those busy days when you barely have time. A VIP inbox would be a great help wouldn't it???

So far AlertMatrix has worked well, no real glitches as yet. I don't think I have really put it to the test yet though, don't fear, its the start of a new week, it will be tested for sure!!!!!

Thanks to Bob at Rex Wireless for deciding to let me preview their new product.

All the info on the new product is here (www.rexwireless.com/AlertMatrix )

P.S. VIP inbox - that's a CG 2.0 copyright. Bob we can discuss you using in on our marketing campaign!

Blackberry Starts The Summer with The Blackberry 9000 AKA BlackBerry Bold

Posted in General & business & Mobile Technology & Blackberry & productivity | 05:34

There have been a lot of rumours over the last few months surrounding the Blackberry 9000. They have been lots of posts on Blackberry and Technology related forums and blogs speculating as to which features the 9000 it will carry. All speculation was put to rest three days ago when RIM announced the Blackberry 9000 to the world in fine style, The Blackberry Bold its called! You can't get it much better than that! There are lots changes and improvements. It seems like to me that RIM is ensuring that they stick to their target market and tailor the 9000 to meet the needs of blackberry users even better than the previous models. One good lesson for all of us - Keep your target market/ your niche clearly in focus.
Listen to what Mike Lazaridis, President and Co-CEO, Research In Motion said -

“The new BlackBerry Bold represents a tremendous step forward in business-grade smartphones and lives up to its name with incredible speed, power and functionality, all wrapped in a beautiful and confident design,”

That seems to pretty much sum up the BlackBerry Bold. I know you want a break down of the features in the blackberry bold so here goes.

Blackberry Bold (9000)

Features in the BlackBerry Bold

3 G - First BlackBerry smartphone to support tri-band HSDPA high-speed networks (3-G 3rd generation network). There are no 3G networks in the Caribbean.

Appearance - From its lustrous black exterior, satin chrome finished frame and stylish leather-like backplate, to its stunning display, sophisticated user interface and newly designed full-QWERTY* keyboard, the BlackBerry Bold smartphone is a symbol of accomplishment and aspiration.

Faster attachment download & web browsing - the support for tri-band HSDPA and enterprise-grade Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g) networks and its next-generation 624 MHz mobile processor make short work of downloading email attachments, streaming video or rendering web pages.

More Storage
- It includes 128 MB Flash memory plus 1 GB on-board storage memory along with microSD/SDHC memory card slot which can take 8 GB cards presently and expected to take 16 GB after a system upgrade. The slot is conveniently accessible from a side door.

Data while on calls - users can even talk on the phone while sending and receiving email or accessing the web.

Edit attachments - download Word, Excel or PowerPoint files and edit them directly on the handset using the preloaded DataViz® Documents to Go® suite.

Software - renowned BlackBerry productivity applications, including phone, email, messaging, organizer and browser, and works with thousands of mobile business and lifestyle applications, making it easier than ever to stay connected, productive and entertained.

Stunning Display
- Half-VGA (480x320 resolution) color LCD is fused to the undersurface of the lens, making images leap out with stunning definition and clarity. Pictures are vibrant and razor sharp, while videos play smoothly and web pages, documents, presentations and messages snap with exceptional quality and contrast.

Desktop Style Web-pages -
With its newly enhanced, high performance browser and high-resolution, ultra-bright display, the BlackBerry Bold smartphone gives users an on-the-go web browsing experience with desktop-style depiction.  The trackball mimics a mouse, making it easy to navigate sites in "Page View" or "Column View" or to zoom in on specific parts of a web page, while various emulation settings allow users to choose between the full desktop-style HTML content and layout or the mobile version. Attachments can also now be downloaded from within the browser and there is support for watching streaming videos (RTSP – real-time streaming protocol).

Robust Email & Messaging -the BlackBerry Bold gives users the industry’s leading mobile messaging solution. It works with BlackBerry® Enterprise Server, which enables advanced security and IT administration within IBM® Lotus® Domino®, Microsoft® Exchange and Novell® GroupWise® environments, as well as BlackBerry® Professional Software for small businesses. It also works with BlackBerry® Internet Service, which gives users access to up to 10 work or personal email accounts (including most popular ISP email accounts), and the BlackBerry® Unite! software for SOHO and home users.

While it is designed to meet the extensive requirements of the business professional during the day, the BlackBerry Bold smartphone also caters to the business person’s consumer side   during evenings and weekends.

Camera - 2 megapixel camera with video recording capability, built-in flash and 5x digital zoom.

Better Media player
- It can display pictures and slideshows quickly, play movies smoothly in full screen mode, and manage an entire music collection.

Better Audio - Audio can be played over the handset’s dual speakers in rich, stereo sound, and when using wired headphones or external speakers, the media player gives the user an equalizer with 11 preset filters – like "Lounge", "Jazz" and "Hip Hop" – that boost or soften audio ranges to create the perfect ambiance.

Managing music and video -the BlackBerry® Desktop Manager software includes Roxio® Media Manager for BlackBerry® as well as Roxio Photosuite® 9 LE, which makes it easy to enhance pictures and create photo albums on the computer. For users that manage their collection with iTunes®, the new BlackBerry® Media Sync application provides a simple way to sync iTunes digital music collections with the smartphone. Support for High Speed USB 2.0 allows all files to be transferred quickly from a desktop computer to the BlackBerry Bold smartphone.

Powerful WI-FI - For even broader high-speed network coverage, the BlackBerry Bold smartphone supports the 802.11 a/b/g Wi-Fi standards, ideal for use in enterprise or campus wireless LAN deployments, over Wi-Fi hotspots and on wireless home networks.   A new "Push Button Setup" is included, making it faster for users to connect to protected wireless networks that require a sign on process.

Integrated GPS - the BlackBerry Bold smartphone can pinpoint its exact location, supporting applications like BlackBerry® Maps and other location-based applications or services. With its improved rendering capabilities, faster download speeds and ability to support simultaneous voice and data, the BlackBerry Bold smartphone even allows users to navigate while on a call.

Phone service
- It is a quad-band EDGE and tri-band HSDPA handset that supports global roaming and features dedicated 'send', 'end', and 'mute' keys, smart dialing, speed dialing, conference calling and call forwarding. It also features noise cancellation technology that offsets background noise, a powerful speaker phone and support for polyphonic, mp3 and MIDI ring tones.

The BlackBerry Bold smartphone (model number: 9000) is scheduled to be available from wireless carriers around the world beginning this summer.
